Born August 17th, 1988 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Michael Strickland began his acting career with theatre at the age of 7 in school plays. Michael made his first mainstage appearance in the play Grease as Danny Zuko and continued on with performing in musical theatre doing plays like Footloose, Annie and Forever Plaid.

In 2003, he competed in a French Theatre festival for young people. The play was entitled “Deux anges et deux destain” where he played a young boy who was shy and always bullied by 3 big kids till he finally gained the courage to stand up to them in order to help a girl he fell in love with. The play ended up winning a number of awards, including “Best performance”, “Best in Show”, “Best Actor” and “Best Actress”. Michael ended up winning the award for “Best Actor/comedian”.

In 2004, He decided to transition from theatre and move to film. His first time on a film set was in Full of it as an extra and from then on, Michael was dedicated to film. He then made his first on screen featured role on the television show House Party as a Jock. He then was cast in the Indie film Inner City Rage as the lead character Les Archer.

A graduate from the Vancouver Film School in 2014 with Honors and currently a film actor and acting coach in Winnipeg.
